Palworld’s Aquatic Construction Kit now unlocks at level 23 rather than level 66. The kit is an official tool for building floating bases, allowing players to place foundations directly on water. It is found in the Ancient Technology tab and requires Cement, Palladium Ingots, and High-Quality Wooden Planks to craft.
Palworld’s Aquatic Construction Kit Unlock Requirement
Players previously needed to reach level 66 before the Aquatic Construction Kit became available. With the requirement reduced to level 23, players can unlock it through the Ancient Technology tab.
Crafting requirements
- Technology tab: Unlock the Aquatic Construction Kit in Ancient Technology.
- Materials: Craft the kit with Cement, Palladium Ingots, and High-Quality Wooden Planks.
- Plank recipe: High-Quality Wooden Planks are made from Hardwood, regular Wood, and High-Quality Cloth. Their recipe becomes available after purchasing regular planks early in the game.
- Hardwood: Hardwood can be gathered by chopping trees on the Sakurajima islands, where it drops in large quantities.
- Workbench: The kit must be crafted at an Advanced Workbench or a higher-tier workbench.
Craft the kit only once
Only one Aquatic Construction Kit is needed for the entire game. After it is crafted, it moves to the Key Items tab as a permanent passive unlock. It is not consumed when foundations are placed, so players do not need to craft another kit for each foundation.
Extra copies cannot be converted back into resources and will remain in the inventory, making repeated crafting unnecessary.
How to Build a Base on Water
- Travel to an ocean, lake, or another body of water within the game boundaries.
- Open the building menu and select the Foundations tab.
- Select the Ancient Foundation, a metal hexagonal platform.
- Place the foundations on the water’s surface. They connect to one another in the same way as foundations placed on land.
After creating a foundation floor, players can place a Palbox on the platforms and build walls, production lines, beds, and stations. The size and building logic are the same as for a base on land. Pals can also be assigned to work at a base built on a flat water foundation.
What the Lower Requirement Changes
The level reduction makes the Aquatic Construction Kit available earlier than its former level-66 requirement. Players who were waiting to unlock the kit can check the Ancient Technology tab once they reach level 23, gather the required materials, and craft a single permanent unlock before placing Ancient Foundations on water.
