Garena has announced Palworld Online, a mobile MMORPG in development under an official license from Pocketpair. The Singapore-headquartered publisher said the game is scheduled to be available in 2026, expanding the Palworld IP with a mobile-focused multiplayer survival adventure. Here is what Garena has outlined for the project so far.
Garena Is Developing a Licensed Palworld Mobile MMORPG
Garena says it is developing and publishing Palworld Online as a mobile reimagining of the original PC survival creature-collecting title. The announcement describes a seamless, interconnected open world in which players travel with Pals, explore new areas, capture and raise creatures, and uncover lore and challenges.
The project was announced by Garena on August 3. The publisher said it is working with Pocketpair on the licensed title and plans to share further launch-timeline details later.
What Garena Confirmed
- License and development: Palworld Online is officially licensed from Pocketpair and is being developed and published by Garena.
- Platform: The game is designed and optimized specifically for mobile play.
- World: Players will explore a seamless, interconnected open world alongside Pals.
- Multiplayer: Players can meet others, form groups, build shared settlements, and take part in cooperative and competitive activities.
- Release window: Garena has scheduled the game to be available in 2026.
Shared Settlements, PvE and PvP
Garena has positioned Palworld Online around online play and cooperative progression. Players will be able to build shared settlements with friends, creating hubs for crafting, defense, and daily life. The publisher also says Pals can be deployed to automate production and help safeguard a settlement.
The game will include both PvE and PvP activities. Garena highlighted cooperative encounters with bosses, hunting for rare Pals, and competitive matches, while also describing options for players who want to visit other bases or take a more relaxed approach to the shared world.
Story and Mobile Features
Alongside Palworld’s original story and lore, Palworld Online will feature new side stories created exclusively for the mobile version. Garena describes the project as a new narrative setting with original story elements within an MMO ecosystem.
For mobile accessibility, the publisher says the game will use a streamlined, touch-friendly interface and optional one-tap controls. These features are intended to make tasks such as base planning, construction, relocation, and Pal deployment easier to manage on handheld devices.
Where Palworld Online Fits in the IP’s Expansion
Palworld released Version 1.0 on July 10. Garena’s announcement is one of several arrangements connected to the wider Palworld IP: Krafton signed a licensing agreement with Pocketpair in October 2024 to expand the IP to the mobile platform.
Garena has not provided a specific release date in its announcement. More details, including the timeline for launch, are set to be unveiled later. Players can follow Garena’s announcement for future updates.
